John Rich, the 35 year old singer who is most remembered for his number “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy” recently said in a public statement that he likes to keep his private life to himself. This is in reference to his marriage with Joan Bush, his steady girlfriend.
Rich said that he had always let his fans know everything they had wanted to know about him, except for such details which he preferred keeping secret. He also expressed bewilderment at the fact that many artists sell their wedding pictures and pictures of newborns to magazines. His new solo album is scheduled to release pretty soon and his new hit single ‘Another You’ is already making waves. His partner Big Kenny Alphin has been undergoing a treatment for quite a while now because of an injury.
Rich said that he has put this time to good use and written some songs that would not feature on a joint album as they were way too personal for that. One such song is called “Son of a Preacher Man” which is expected to talk about his dad who was a preacher and his influence on him.
Rich says that he has not forgotten the core values he was raised with and that he could still be found at a bar, singing and playing a guitar if someone took away everything that he had made. He is obviously not the type of man who gets pedicures, reads gossip magazines or would enjoy the Hugo Boss Pure for Men beauty gift set. But with a marriage, a single, a new record album and a tour with partner Kenny in a few months, Rich is definitely living up to his name.
