Alexandra Burke has revealed that her mentor Cheryl Cole has banned her from having sex. The 20-year-old pop star has advised the X Factor winner to concentrate on music and avoid any disruptions.

Alex, who belongs to Islington in North London, has already broken up with her boyfriend while the 25-year-old Cheryl was cheated by her husband, Ashley Cole. The footballer is said to dump the singer last year. As of now, the Girls Aloud beauty wants the budding songster to focus on her career and keep away from distractions. Alex was straight in saying that, “Cheryl told me to keep away from men. She wants me to concentrate on music without any distraction.” She further added, “There will be no romance – I’m all about the music.”

So the young winner sounds quite obedient in following her mentor’s advice, which is in a way very professional. Alex has also conveyed that she is very optimistic about her association with the pop star and they are now more like friends. Alex believes that Cheryl is her true inspiration and has gone through a similar phase in life. Expressing her thoughts for the mentor, Alex said, “She’s taught me so much and I’m so grateful that she’s in my life.”

So we can expect that Cheryl is training Alex to become a strong woman, whose spirit cannot be shattered by the betrayal of men.
